Why take a crash course in Design Thinking?

When addressing societal challenges for the growing city, it is key to work in a creative and user-centered manner to find relevant and radical solutions. For Openlab, Design Thinking is central in approaching every challenge.

Design Thinking is the kind of process that will change the way you tackle your work. It is a toolkit and a mind-set that will make you reframe your challenges, work from a user perspective and start working with visual thinking.

Course description:

The crash course is divided into two breakfast sessions. During these four-hour sessions, you will be introduced to the Design Thinking approach and how to use that mind-set in your everyday work.

Design Thinking coaches from Openlab will be leading the course: Julien Mauroy and Geert van den Boogaard. Both have a background in design and years of experience working and teaching Design Thinking and Human-centered-design. Julien and Geert will lead the course in English.

This course was created to reach professionals from all sectors. You will work with interdisciplinary teams, combining public sector, universities and professionals from all backgrounds in order to create opportunities for cross-pollination.

By joining the course, you will gain the basic Design Thinking tools to tackle societal challenges in new ways. With these tools, we will help you become a Design Thinking change agent.
